Twilio Prayer Hotline Setup
Follow these steps to activate your prayer hotline
🚨 CONFIGURE YOUR TWILIO NUMBER OR IT WON'T WORK!
If you hear "configure your number's voice" when calling your hotline, you MUST complete Step 3 below!
The Fix (Takes 2 minutes):
- Go to Twilio Phone Numbers
- Click your number: (620) 798-5049
- Scroll to "Voice Configuration" section
- Change "A CALL COMES IN" to "Webhook"
- Paste webhook URL:

- Click "Save Configuration" at bottom!

Keep these steps handy if you ever need to reconfigure your Twilio number.
STEP 2: Find Your Number
Click on your phone number: (620) 798-5049
STEP 3: Configure VOICE (THIS FIXES THE ERROR!)
- Scroll down to find the section called "Voice Configuration" or "Voice & Fax"
- Look for "A CALL COMES IN"
- Click the dropdown and change it from "TwiML App" or "TwiML Bin" to "Webhook"
- A text box will appear - paste your webhook URL from Step 2
- Make sure the dropdown next to it says "HTTP POST"
STEP 4: Configure SMS
- Scroll to find "Messaging Configuration"
- Look for "A MESSAGE COMES IN"
- Change dropdown to "Webhook"
- Paste the SAME webhook URL
- Select "HTTP POST"
⚠️ STEP 5: SAVE CONFIGURATION!
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Save Configuration" button!
Nothing will work until you click Save!
